ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIPS AWARDED:

• Scholarships will range from $500.00 - $1,500.00.

• Scholarships provide funding for continuing education. This funding enables Nurses to grow and better contribute their talents to the health and healthcare to communities.

• Please review the Scholarship Application form carefully. Remember to submit ALL required documents with your application or it will not be accepted.

 

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be currently enrolled at least half time in a Nursing program or a College or School of Nursing. (min of 6 credit hrs.)

 

• Must be an active member of CBNA for a minimal of 1 year and participate in at least 3 events and be an active committee member during that year.
   

• Applicant must have at least 1 full year of school remaining.

 

• Applicant must continue as an Active member of CBNA for 1 year after receiving a Scholarship Award.  All recipients that receive a scholarship are required to pay their CBNA dues for the upcoming year.
   

• Applicant must be present to receive the Scholarship (NO EXCEPTIONS)
  .

MUST PROVIDE:

• Completed Application

• From an accredited School or College of Nursing:

  • Official Transcript

  • Official documentation of current student status from the School or College of Nursing from the Admission Office

  • Provide a letter of recommendation from your School or College of Nursing

• A 500-word essay outlining your “Nursing Career Goals” and the reason why you chose Nursing as your profession. This must be typed and double spaced.

 

DEADLINE:

• Completed application and required documents must be received by the Columbus Black Nurses Association no later than April 22nd via email: cbna.ohio@gmail .

• Any applications received after April 22nd will not be considered.

 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

• Applicant can apply for a Scholarship , if they are receiving a certification in a specialty field of nursing.
